Job summary

Sheltering Arms Institute in Richmond, VA is seeking a Physical Therapist PRN to join the inpatient rehabilitation team. The PT will provide patient-centered examinations, development and administration of a treatment plan, documentation, and communication with team members, plus supervision of staff and students.

May rotate clinical areas. Requirements include graduation from an accredited PT program, Virginia licensure or eligibility, CPR certification, and a doctoral degree is preferred.

Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking a Physical Therapist PRN to join the inpatient team. The Physical Therapist provides quality, comprehensive, patient-centered physical therapy services including patient examination (ages 12+), development and administration of a treatment plan, documentation and communication with team members, and clinical direction and supervision to licensed/non-licensed personnel. Instructs therapy support staff, students, other team members, and patient and/or caregivers. May rotate through clinical areas.

Qualifications And Skills

• Experience/expertise in inpatient rehabilitation

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy educational program required.
• Virginia licensure to practice or eligibility and application for licensure by the Physical Therapy Board of the Virginia State Board of Health Professions required.
• Healthcare professionals CPR certification required.
• Doctoral degree from an accredited physical therapy programs and/or specialty practice certification preferred.

Compensation

• Pay Rate: Physical Therapist PRN - $55.00 per hour
• These rates reflect our commitment to pay equity and market‑competitive compensation.
• Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and internal equity.
