Job summary

WelbeHealth in Newark, NJ seeks a Physical Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team to plan and deliver restorative and rehabilitative services, focusing on maximizing independence and safety for participants.

The PT collaborates with therapists, providers, and IDT members, conducts assessments, implements care plans, and trains staff and caregivers. The role emphasizes work-life balance and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy (required).
• Valid New Jersey Physical Therapy License or proof of license eligibility.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire (preferred to obtain at start).

Responsibilities

• Conduct Physical Therapy assessments in our facility and, occasionally, in participants' homes.
• Participate in IDT meetings to develop participant care plans.
• Deliver and document interventions as per care plans.
• Provide active and passive exercises, gait training, ADL training, and related therapies.
• Supervise Therapy Assistants and guide FMP implementation.
• Provide training to staff, participants, and caregivers on therapeutic equipment use and care.
