Job summary

WelbeHealth, LLC. is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join the interdisciplinary team (IDT) and provide restorative therapies under the direction of a Physical Therapist.

You will deliver care at the center and in participants’ homes to maximize independence and safety. Responsibilities include administering treatment programs, assisting with vital signs and ROM tests, and coordinating with the Rehabilitation team to implement individualized plans.

Qualifications

• PTA associate’s degree from an accredited program.
• Valid PTA license, or proof of license eligibility.
• PTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist the Physical Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testing.
• Coordinate with Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on the participants’ individual treatment plans.
• Handle scheduling of participants’ treatments, clinical visits, and billing.
• Document physical therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans including active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, ADLs, and treatments (e.g., massage, heat, sound, water, light, or electricity).

Education
