Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist to perform objective assessments and create individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. The role includes supervision of therapy staff and adherence to Mercy Service Standards.

Education must include a Physical Therapy degree (BS/MS/PhD). Current state licensure and BLS certification are required; six months to one year of related experience is preferred, with emphasis on adult/geriatric care.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist.
• Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and develop comprehensive individualized treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Oversee PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts and Mercy Service Standards.
