Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, seeks a Rehabilitation Physical Therapist to deliver objective assessments and comprehensive treatment plans for adult and geriatric patients. The role includes supervising patients, rehab technicians, and PT assistants in line with State Practice Acts and Mercy Service Standards.

Requirements include a PT degree (B.S., M.S., or DPT), current licensure in the state, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure: Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications: BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Preferred Experience: Six months to one year experience is preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist. Prefer experience with care for adult and geriatric patients.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs; prolonged standing/walking; grip, reach, bend, knee, twist, squat.

Responsibilities

• Perform objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide direct supervision to patients and indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians.
• Supervise PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts.
• Perform duties in alignment with Mercy Service Standards and mission.
