Job summary

Post Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the rehabilitation team at Safire Rehab of Northtowns in Tonawanda, NY. This full-time opportunity focuses on helping residents improve strength, mobility, balance, and independence through hands-on therapy.

The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, support residents with gait training, transfers, and therapeutic exercises, and contribute to a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active New York PTA license required.

Post Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the rehabilitation team at Safire Rehab of Northtowns. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a PTA who enjoys hands-on therapy and helping residents improve strength, mobility, balance, and independence throughout the recovery process.

What You’ll Do

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist residents with strengthening, gait training, balance, transfers, endurance, and mobility activities
• Follow individualized treatment plans established by the supervising PT
• Observe resident performance and communicate progress or changes to the clinical team
• Reinforce therapeutic exercises and safe mobility techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation
• Collaborate with PT, OT, SLP, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
