Job summary

Post Rehabilitation Services seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join Medford Multicare in Medford, NY. This full-time role focuses on helping residents improve mobility, build strength, and gain greater independence during rehabilitation.

The PTA will work under a licensed PT, perform gait training and therapeutic exercises, document progress, and collaborate with the rehab team. NY license required; new grads are welcome.

Qualifications

• Active New York PTA license required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to resident-centered care.
• New graduate PTAs are welcome to apply.
• Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed PT.
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, transfers, strengthening, and mobility activities.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans established by supervising PT.
• Monitor resident response to therapy and communicate progress or changes to the PT.
• Reinforce safe movement techniques and therapeutic strategies.
• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and other healthcare professionals to support resident goals.

Post Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the rehabilitation team at Medford Multicare. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a PTA who enjoys working directly with residents to improve mobility, build strength, and support greater independence throughout the rehabilitation process.

What You'll Do

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
