Job summary

Seaport Scripps Home Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our home health team serving the San Diego County. You will provide in-home physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, focusing on mobility, strength, and pain management.

Qualifications

• Active California PTA license is required.
• Minimum 2 years of patient care experience; home health preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with the POC.
• Assist patients with mobility, strength, pain management, and range of motion exercises.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training.
• Utilize physical agents such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage.
• Educate patients on the use of assistive devices (wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, prosthetics).
• Monitor and report patient progress and changes in condition.

As a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:
