Job summary

Seaport Scripps Home Health in San Diego County is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for our Home Health team serving the South County. The PTA will provide in-home physical therapy under the supervision of a licensed PT and deliver care per the Plan of Care.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus, full-time employment, and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must have an active California PTA license, CPR, and a valid driver's license with reliable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Active California PTA license
• Minimum 2 years of patient care experience (Home Health preferred)
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician's Plan of Care (POC).
• Assist patients with mobility, strength, pain management, and range of motion exercises.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training.
• Utilize physical agents such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage.
• Educate patients on the use of assistive devices (wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, prosthetics).
• Monitor and report patient progress and changes in condition.

As a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:
