Seaport Scripps Home Health in Encinitas, CA is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our home health team serving San Diego County. You will provide in-home PT under a licensed PT, help patients with mobility and pain management, and use modalities to support recovery.

The role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, comprehensive benefits, and a stable, mission-driven work environment within the Pennant Group network. Prior home health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active California PTA license required.
• Minimum 2 years of patient care experience; home health preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home physical therapy under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician’s Plan of Care (POC).
• Assist patients with mobility, strength, pain management, and range of motion exercises.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer activities, and prosthetic training.
• Utilize modalities such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage.
• Educate patients on the use of assistive devices (wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, prosthetics).
• Monitor and report patient progress and changes in condition.
