NORTH TEXAS THERAPY & HOMECARE is seeking a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver pediatric physical therapy in home or day program settings for patients aged 0 to 21. The role requires current Texas PTA licensure, an associate degree, and at least six months of full-time clinical experience.

The position emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, adherence to physician orders, and scheduling supervision with a PT.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current Texas licensure as a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
• Minimum 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience required.
• Home Health experience preferred.
• Must have valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients ages 0–21, 2+ times per week per physician orders.
• Schedule supervision visits with supervising PT per Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plan care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions.
• Update knowledge through continuing education, publications, networks, and professional organizations.
• Enhance PT reputation by taking ownership of new tasks and adding value.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Schedules supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising PT according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the physical therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances physical therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
