Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant to provide pediatric home health services in Texas. The role involves treating patients aged 0–21, coordinating supervision with a PT, and collaborating with the care team to meet therapeutic goals.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree, TX licensure, and at least 6 months of full-time clinical experience, with pediatrics/home health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Texas Certified Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• Associate degree from an accredited college/university.
• At least 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience preferred; Home Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21 years, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Schedule supervision visits with supervising PT according to Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plan care to meet goals of PT interventions.
• Stay updated on knowledge through education, publications, networking, and professional organizations.
• Enhance PT reputation by taking ownership and exploring value-added opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Schedules supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising PT according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the physical therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances physical therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
