Job summary

NORTH TEXAS THERAPY & HOMECARE in Richardson, TX seeks a Pediatric-focused Certified Physical Therapy Assistant to provide skilled services in patients aged 0–21, two or more visits weekly, in home or daytime facilities. You will schedule supervising PT visits and collaborate with the care team to meet patient goals.

The role requires TX licensure, an associate degree, and pediatric/home health experience; valid auto insurance and a driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required from an accredited college or university.
• Texas licensure as a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant is required.
• Minimum 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience is required, home health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week as ordered by a physician.
• Schedule supervision visits with the supervising PT in accordance with Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plan care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions.
• Update knowledge through education, reading, networking and professional involvement.
• Enhance the PT reputation by taking initiative and seeking value-added opportunities.

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Schedules supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising PT according to Texas board guidelines
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient
• Plans for care to meet goals of the physical therapy interventions
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances physical therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.
