Job summary

NORTH TEXAS THERAPY & HOMECARE is seeking a licensed physical therapist to provide pediatric home health services in the Allen area. You will deliver skilled PT to patients aged 0–21, two or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders, and collaborate with families and caregivers.

The ideal candidate holds a DPT, Texas PT license, and pediatric experience; home health preferred. Spanish bilingual skills are a plus, and you must maintain valid auto insurance and a driver's license.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited program in physical therapy.
• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas.
• Pediatric experience is required; new grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks pediatric OT experience (internships may count).
• Home health experience is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and a driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
