Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Santa Cruz is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with a salary range of $85,280 to $104,000, plus on-call duties. A sign-on bonus is available, with PTO and referral bonuses as benefits.

Duties include administering treatments, performing muscle and movement assessments, and ensuring patient record confidentiality. Qualifications include an Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant and California licensure.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate in home assessments to ensure safe discharge with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents per company policy and regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
