Job summary

Fremont Healthcare Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dedicated team in Fremont, CA. The PTA will deliver patient-centered care within the established plan of care, under supervision, and support resident discharge planning when needed.

The role requires an Associate degree in PTA, CA licensure, and one year of clinical experience preferred; a sign-on bonus is available and PTO/referral bonuses are part of the benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
