Job summary

FutureCare in Baltimore, MD seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to implement treatment plans, help residents manage pain, restore movement, and educate families on continued care. This highly physical role requires empathy and clear communication with residents.

You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist, maintain daily treatment records, monitor progress, and escalate concerns promptly. Maryland PTA license and long-term/sub-acute experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current license or eligibility to practice in Maryland.
• Experience in long-term or sub-acute settings preferred.
• Active membership in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow the directions of the licensed Physical Therapist and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments to residents according to evaluations and treatment plans developed by the licensed Physical Therapist.
• Exercise sound judgment and provide effective and efficient care in the performance of duties.
• Observe, record, and report changes in conditions to the resident Physical Therapist as assigned.
• Track the need for reassessment and report changes in status that may indicate reassessment or referral.
• Maintain daily records of treatments and documents progress notes as directed by the therapist.
• Discontinue any treatment procedure that appears harmful and notify the licensed Physical Therapist and staff.
• Ensure appropriate review of care rendered is performed by the licensed Physical Therapist according to regulations.

***Salary Range $34.75- $44.11/HR***

The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. • Ensure appropriate review of care rendered is performed by the licensed Physical Therapist according to practice regulations

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current license or eligible for license under statutes in the State of Maryland
• Training or experience in long-term or sub-acute setting
• Prefer active membership in the state and national American Physical Therapy Association
• Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Physical Therapist and the policies and procedures of the facility
