Job summary

FutureCare is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to implement treatment plans for residents, helping manage pain, restore movement, and improve muscle function in a long‑term care setting.

This hands‑on role requires empathy, strong communication with residents and families, and a Maryland license or eligibility. You will follow the supervising Physical Therapist's plan and document progress.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current license or eligible for license under statutes in Maryland.
• Training or experience in a long‑term or sub‑acute setting.
• Prefer active membership in the state and national American Physical Therapy Association.
• Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Physical Therapist and the facility's policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments to residents according to evaluations and treatment plans developed by the licensed Physical Therapist.
• Exercise sound judgment and provide effective and efficient care in the performance of duties.
• Observe, record, and report changes in conditions, reactions, and responses to the resident Physical Therapist as assigned.
• Track the need for reassessment and report changes in status that may indicate the need for reassessment or referral.
• Maintain daily records of treatments and document progress notes on residents as directed by the therapist.
• Discontinue any treatment procedure that appears harmful and notify the licensed Physical Therapist and staff.
• Ensure review of care rendered is performed by the licensed Physical Therapist according to regulations.

Salary Disclosure Statement

• Salary Range $33.25 - $44.11 per hour

The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. All employment offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job‑related qualifications, location, certifications or training, etc.
