Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support the Rehab Services Ambulatory program in Pensacola, FL. This PRN role focuses on delivering care under a plan of care written by a licensed physical therapist, in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will document treatments, coordinate with PTs, aides, and students, and help ensure smooth patient flow while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Florida PTA credentialed prior to hire date.
• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
• Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills appropriate for the patient population.
• Document treatment interventions given.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) credentialed from the Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
