We’re looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who is passionate about turning clinical expertise into real-world progress.
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at NCFL, you’ll:
- Provide habilitative therapy services designed to promote independence, mobility, and quality of life.
- Work closely with the supervising Physical Therapist and Clinical Director to provide effective, individualized care.
- Adapt and modify treatment approaches in coordination with the Physical Therapist as indicated.
- Support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and individuals with physical, cognitive, and psychological needs.
- Educate direct support staff on therapy recommendations and strategies to be implemented outside of therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with Support Coordinators to help ensure recommendations are implemented in home and community settings.
- Maintain timely and accurate daily notes, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and multidisciplinary team members to promote effective, coordinated client care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute your clinical expertise to support positive outcomes.
- Follow NJ DDD guidelines for habilitative therapy services and maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Schedule:
- Full-time
- 45 hours per week
- Services provided in Paramus & Rochelle Park, NJ achievement centers
What You’ll Need:
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
- Valid New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Physical Therapists, healthcare providers, Support Coordinators, direct support staff, and other members of the care team
- Ability to develop and implement effective treatment strategies and recommendations
- Experience with Foothold AWARDS is preferred
