Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree.
• Licensure: Current license to perform as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the Board of Physical Therapy in the applicable State of practice.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist by performing physical therapy procedures as delegated and as supervised.
• Document patient progress notes and report patient status changes.
• Modify procedures within the treatment plan as patient status changes.
• Ensure patient safety and address age-specific needs.
• Provide respectful, compassionate patient and family interactions.
• Assess and address patient pain per department policy.
• Provide technical direction to the Physical Therapy aide and coordinate department workload.
