Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering patient-centered care. You will perform delegated procedures, adapt treatments per patient status, and document progress in the medical record.

Responsibilities include supervising the Physical Therapy aide, coordinating department workload, and ensuring age-appropriate care while maintaining safety and compassion for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Current license to practice as Physical Therapist Assistant from the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy.
• Entry level applicants may be considered.
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing physical therapy procedures as directed.
• Document patient progress notes and update treatment plans as patient status changes.
• Provide technical direction to the Physical Therapy aide and coordinate department workload.
• Address age-specific needs and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Report any patient safety issues promptly.
