The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help carry out treatment plans for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury. Their responsibilities include guiding patients through prescribed exercises, assisting with mobility and ambulation, monitoring patient progress, and providing support in documenting treatment outcomes. Aimed at improving function, reducing pain, and promoting safe discharge.
