Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks a part-time Physical Therapist to provide outpatient rehab services at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA. The role involves evaluating patients, designing individualized treatment plans, and guiding post-surgical rehabilitation to restore function.

The incumbent will educate patients and families on exercises, home safety, and use of assistive devices, while maintaining licensure and pursuing ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/Doctorate/Certificate in Physical Therapy required.
• Current state Physical Therapy license required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification required on hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assessing Patients: Evaluate mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional limitations.
• Creating Treatment Plans: Develop individualized therapy plans to improve movement and function.
• Post-Surgical Rehabilitation: Assist patients in regaining function after surgery (e.g., joint replacements, cardiac procedures).
• Pain Management: Use techniques such as manual therapy, positioning, and guided movement to reduce pain.
• Patient & Family Education: Teach patients and caregivers how to perform exercises and use assistive devices and follow safety practices at home.

Hours: 8 hour shift

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Assessing Patients: Evaluate a patient's mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional limitations

• Creating Treatment Plans: Develop individualized therapy plans to improve movement and function based on the patient’s condition and goals

• Post-Surgical Rehabilitation: Assist patients in regaining function after surgery (e.g., joint replacements, cardiac procedures)

• Pain Management: Use techniques such as manual therapy, positioning, and guided movement to reduce pain and improve comfort

• Patient & Family Education: Teach patients and caregivers how to perform exercises, use assistive devices (like walkers), and follow safety practices at home

Qualifications

• Current state Physical Therapy license.
