Job summary

Prime Healthcare at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) to implement treatment plans under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will guide patients through exercises, assist with mobility, monitor progress, and document outcomes to promote safe discharge and functional recovery.

Required is an A.A. degree and a valid PTA license with BCLS certification at hire.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) with PTA license.
• BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out prescribed physical therapy interventions under PT supervision.
• Assist patients with mobility and ambulation using devices.
• Monitor and report patient progress and any adverse reactions.
• Educate patients on safe movements and use of mobility aids.
• Prepare and maintain therapy areas and equipment.
