Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Hayward is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our caring team. This role requires an associate degree and California PTA license, with at least one year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates are welcome.

The PTA will administer therapies, perform tests, document care, and support residents' discharge planning while protecting patient confidentiality. We offer a competitive salary and benefits, plus a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
