Hayward Hills Healthcare Center in Hayward, CA is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support residents with neuromusculoskeletal care under an established plan of care. This role emphasizes hands-on treatment, documentation, and collaborative care with PTs and nursing staff.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in PTA, California PTA license, and has 1 year of clinical experience; PCP preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
• Current California PTA license is required.
• One year of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers tests and measurements for strength, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate in home assessments to support discharge to a safe environment.
• Completes required forms per company policy and regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinincal treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• May participate with home assessments, simulated or actual as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment along with PT/OT as needed.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in a Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant issued by the state of California.
