Job summary

Driftwood Healthcare Center-Hayward is hiring a Physical Therapist (PT) to provide patient-centered care within a supportive team environment.

The role requires a California license with a Doctorate/MS/Bachelor in Physical Therapy. A minimum of one year of clinical experience is preferred; new graduates are welcome. A sign-on bonus is available along with competitive benefits and retirement options.

Responsibilities

• Administers and interprets tests for muscle strength, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory function.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and documents per policy and regulations.
• Performs home assessments to support safe discharge to the community.

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.

• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments simulated or actual, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the state of California.
