Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services Inc. is seeking Physical Therapists in Santa Ana, California. This rewarding opportunity involves providing home-based Early Intervention services to infants and toddlers with developmental needs.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will conduct assessments and follow up on developmental goals in a positive environment. Competitive hourly rates range from $65 to $75, with additional benefits such as flexible scheduling, medical benefits, and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license is necessary.
• Pediatric experience is required, preferably with Early Intervention.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide physical therapy services.
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) to reach goals.
• Utilize parent coaching approach to ensure progress is generalized.
• Provide services in natural environments like homes and daycare centers.
• Re-assess and write progress reports bi-annually.
• Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA/state regs.

Education

California Physical Therapy (DPT) license

Pediatric experience required

Strong clinical & interpersonal skills

Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
