Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking licensed Physical Therapists to provide Early Intervention PT services for infants and toddlers in home and community settings throughout California.

You will work with families to implement IFSP goals using a parent coaching model, supporting development in natural environments. We offer a sign-on bonus up to $1,000, flexible scheduling, mileage reimbursement, and benefits including medical, dental and vision.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy license required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide physical therapy services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and develop strategies with families to reach developmental goals.
• Utilize family-centered parent coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment (homes, daycare centers, community settings).
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports bi-annually.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
