Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking licensed Physical Therapists to provide home-based Early Intervention services to infants and toddlers and their families.

Join a nationwide agency with multidisciplinary programs across California, offering flexible schedules, travel between sessions, and competitive hourly pay. You will work in clients\' homes and community settings, supporting child development and family engagement.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license.
• Pediatric/Early Intervention experience preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written & oral communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide physical therapy services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to set developmental goals.
• Use family-centered parent coaching to build caregiver confidence and skills.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment (home, daycare, community).
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)
