Job summary

Sunny Days is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist in California to provide home-based Early Intervention therapies for infants and toddlers. You will work with families in their homes and community settings, delivering pediatric physical therapy and coordinating using an IFSP roadmap.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in California with pediatric experience.
• Experience in home-based therapy delivery and Early Intervention preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal communication skills; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide physical therapy using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with families to develop strategies to meet developmental goals.
• Utilize family-centered parent coaching to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure progress generalization.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information in accordance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Job Responsibilities

Requirements

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
