Sunny Days of California, Inc. is hiring a licensed Physical Therapist (DPT) to deliver early intervention services to infants and toddlers in home and community settings.

You will conduct developmental assessments and provide physical therapy while partnering with families to implement effective strategies for progress. • DPT license in California required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow IFSP goals and help families implement strategies for progress.
• Provide services in child’s natural environment, including home and community settings.
• Write progress reports and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA/state regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Physical Therapy (DPT) license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
