Job summary

AVIR at San Angelo is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our rehabilitation team in both full-time and per diem capacities at our San Angelo, TX location. The PT will assess and treat patients, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to restore function and mobility.

Ideal candidates hold a DPT, current TX license or eligibility, and demonstrate strong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• DPT degree required from an accredited program.
• Current Texas Physical Therapist license or eligibility.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical function, mobility, strength and ROM.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility and reduce pain.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, exercises and safety strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in both full-time and per diem roles. The ideal candidate is committed to providing exceptional patient care, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ physical function, mobility, strength, and range of motion
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs
• Provide hands-on therapy and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility and reduce pain
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, exercises, and safety strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program
• Current Texas Physical Therapist license (or eligibility)
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings preferred

Employment Types

• The starting hourly rate is $48.00 with adjustments made in accordance with the candidate’s experience level
