Job summary

Xforia Global Talent & Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Physical Design Contractor in Austin, TX to drive synthesis, floorplanning, and PPA optimization for large, timing-critical designs. You will work closely with RTL and external teams to ensure design quality and timing targets are met.

The role requires 8+ years in physical design, hands-on Cadence Genus and Innovus expertise, and deep knowledge of advanced nodes (N5/N3 or below).

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Physical Design experience.
• Experience with large-scale SoC or AI-class designs.
• Deep expertise at advanced technology nodes (e.g., N5, N3 or below).
• Hands-on proficiency with Cadence Genus & Innovus.
• Strong understanding of timing closure and correlation between synthesis and implementation.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills (RTL, Architecture, PD, and external teams).

Responsibilities

• Synthesize large, timing-challenged designs using Cadence Genus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform synthesis using Cadence Genus for large, timing-challenged designs.
• Drive PPA (power, performance, area) optimization through synthesis and early implementation stages.
• Develop and refine floorplans using Cadence Innovus.
• Collaborate closely with RTL teams to provide timely feedback on design quality, constraints, and architectural tradeoffs.
• Partner with external P&R teams to iterate toward timing closure and PPA optimization.
• Identify and address timing bottlenecks early in the flow to improve convergence.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8+ years of hands-on Physical Design experience.
