Job summary

Broadcom is seeking a motivated Physical Design Engineer (NCG) to join the APD Physical Design team in San Jose, CA. The role involves block-level floorplanning, synthesis, P&R, CTS, timing closure, and signoff across cutting-edge nodes.

You will work with experienced engineers on high-performance networking and AI/ML accelerators, gaining hands-on experience with complex floorplanning, timing analysis, and signoff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in EE/CE with recent graduation
• Scripting languages TCL, Python, Ruby, or Bash proficiency
• Experience or coursework in digital CMOS logic and STA concepts

Responsibilities

• Participate in block-level floorplanning and run P&R flows using industry-standard EDA tools
• Perform Static Timing Analysis and debug timing paths; implement ECOs for timing closure
• Run DRC/LVS/ERC/antenna checks and resolve signoff violations
• Analyze IR drop and electromigration; develop automation scripts to improve flow efficiency
