Job summary

Innodata seeks a Business Development Representative, Physical AI, to identify and qualify opportunities in robotics and AI foundation-models. Build target accounts, reach AI/ML/robotics leaders, conduct discovery, and move opportunities into pilots and commercial engagements.

This role is ~70% outbound prospecting, 30% account research, with a salary range of $70,000–$85,000 USD per year depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 1–3+ years in business development or technology sales.
• Interest in artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomous systems, ML.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to identify decision makers within complex organizations.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial approach in a fast-moving market.

Responsibilities

• Research emerging Physical AI companies and robotics startups.
• Build targeted account and contact lists through market mapping.
• Identify relevant decision makers across AI, robotics, data, eng, product, and research.
• Conduct personalized outreach via email, LinkedIn, events to generate meetings.
• Carry out discovery calls to understand requirements and timelines.
• Support transition into pilots, PoCs, and larger engagements.
• Coordinate meetings, demos, and technical discussions as needed.
• Track industry developments and funding activity to spot opportunities.
