Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Phone Triage Registered Nurse at Baptist Internal Medicine Group on Baymeadows in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time day‑shift opportunity Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse is phone triage, supporting 10 providers in a busy office. The role requires strong organization and comfort interacting with patients face-to-face.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree in Nursing, BLS, and RN licensure.
• Clinical experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Triage telephone calls.
• Interpret symptoms and communicating plan of care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans.
• Manage prior authorizations for medications.
• Coordinate workflow pertaining to clinical questions.
• Additional responsibilities may be required based upon office needs.
• Room/triage patients for providers.
• Reviewing the clinical messages that come through the portal and responding to them.
• Using strong communication and documentation skills.
