Jobot in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a seasoned Litigation Attorney to join our legal team on a permanent, on-site basis. You will manage a diverse civil litigation portfolio, including insurance defense and general liability, from inception to resolution.

Requirements include a JD from an accredited law school, admission to the Arizona State Bar, and at least five years of civil litigation experience with strong research, writing, negotiation, and deposition skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Arizona State Bar.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Civil Litigation Attorney, Associate Attorney, or a similar role.
• Proven experience in insurance defense, civil defense, liability defense, premises liability, general liability, and auto liability.
• Strong experience in arbitration, mediation, trial, and court appearances.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Proven experience in conducting and defending depositions.

Responsibilities

• Managing a diverse portfolio of civil litigation cases, from inception through resolution.
• Representing clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
• Preparing and drafting legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conducting thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Conducting and defending depositions.
• Advising clients on their legal rights and obligations, as well as potential risks and benefits of different legal strategies.
• Interacting with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and experts.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
• Collaborating with other members of the legal team to ensure effective and efficient case management.
