Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Phlebotomy Technician at 60182 WI ACL Laboratories - AMC Kenosha. The role involves venipuncture, specimen handling, and data entry, with responsibilities spanning phlebotomy, specimen processing, and basic testing in CLIA-guided procedures.

Hours are 40 per week, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holidays. The position offers benefits eligibility and a pay range of $19.80–$29.70 per hour.

Competenze

• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in phlebotomy or related laboratory function.
• Basic computer skills including experience using computer software applications.
• Keyboarding and typing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good listening skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated customer service skills to interface effectively with physicians, patients, visitors, and other healthcare employees.

Mansioni

• Verifies positive patient identification to ensure patient safety.
• Performs Venipuncture and collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Obtains specimens according to priority and scheduled draw times; ensures proper labeling.
• Performs limited testing under CLIA guidelines per policy.
• Answers and screens telephone calls; assists with inventory and billing functions.
• Receives, sorts and tracks specimens; prepares specimens for testing and data entry.
• Orders and verifies test requests; runs quality control checks; notifies providers of abnormal results.
