Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time phlebotomist at 60144 WI ACL Laboratories - AMC Lakeland. The role is 16 hours per week, first shift 0500-1330 with rotating weekends/holidays. Pay ranges from $19.80 to $29.70 per hour, with no benefits eligibility noted.

Responsibilities include verifying patient IDs, performing venipuncture, proper specimen labeling, and basic CLIA testing under policy. Candidate will handle phone inquiries, assist with inventory and billing support, manage specimen

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge and experience in phlebotomy or related laboratory function.
• Basic computer skills including experience using computer software applications.
• Keyboarding and typing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Verifies positive patient identification to ensure patient safety.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Ensures specimens are properly labeled and suitable for testing; resolves identification issues.
• Performs limited testing under CLIA guidelines.
• Answers calls and assists with inventory and billing support.
• Orders and verifies test requests; conducts quality control checks; reports abnormal results.
