Advocate Health is seeking a Phlebotomy/ Lab Support role at 60144 WI ACL Laboratories - AMC Lakeland in Wisconsin. The position is full time, 40 hours weekly, first shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) with rotating holidays.

You will perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and support workflow and quality assurance under CLIA guidelines. The role requires a High School Graduate with about 3 years of phlebotomy or related lab experience.

• Demonstrates a willingness to work a flexible schedule, which may include working an alternate site or shift assignment.
• If Outreach Based: Current driver’s license granted by the state of residency with a driving record that meets Aurora fleet safety standards and proof of automobile liability insurance.

Responsabilidades

• Acts as a resource to employees and students, which includes training/orienting and providing day-to-day work direction.
• Assists with human resource responsibilities, including interviewing and selection of new employees, staff development, resolution of employee concerns, and morale.
• Monitors and coordinates the workflow of the department including specimen collection, processing and ordering functions.
• Assists in the investigation of procedure and/or performance failures and aids in their resolution.
• Documents appropriate information for quality assurance/improvement according to established protocol.
• Performs Venipuncture and collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Obtains specimens according to priority and scheduled draw times.
• Ensures specimens are properly labeled and suitable for testing.
• May perform limited testing under CLIA guidelines and runs quality control checks.
• Instructs students in phlebotomy, data entry and specimen processing functions.
