UCI Health is seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to perform specimen processing and accessioning in our Referral Lab. The role includes phlebotomy across mobile routes, with emphasis on quality review and accurate handling of specimens for testing.

The ideal candidate will hold a California Phlebotomy license, have strong communication skills, and a proven ability to provide excellent customer service in a high-volume health system setting.

Formación

• Technical knowledge of lab procedures, functions and processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• State of California Phlebotomy License (Certified Phlebotomy Tech I).
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsabilidades

• Perform specimen processing and accessioning.
• Collect specimens via phlebotomy, including mobile route.
• Monitor drug test processes and perform quality review.
• Review lab reports and troubleshoot issues as they occur.
• Prepare specimens for testing and packaging for dispatch to outside labs.
