Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of lab procedures, functions and processes gained through education, experience or a combination of the two.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Current State of California Driver's License.
• Ability to pass EKG competency test.
• Must maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing and accessioning in the Referral Lab.
• Conduct phlebotomy including mobile route and drug test monitoring.
• Review lab reports, perform quality review and troubleshoot issues.
• Prepare specimens for testing, accessioning and packaging for dispatch to outside labs.
