Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certificate and license if applicable.
• Ability to proficiently perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy professionally, with compassion for patients.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and proper infection control.
• Complete requisitions correctly with patient demographics and medical data.
• Review Medicare requirements to determine ABN needs when applicable.
• Ensure MSP forms are completed when necessary.
• Accurately collect specimens to fulfill lab orders.
• Provide clear communication to clients regarding test orders.
• Keep the draw station stocked and organized daily.
• Inform supervisor of performance issues, concerns, and schedule.
• For office-based roles, collect specimens sent to a client’s lab.
