Qualifikationen

• Completion of accredited phlebotomy practicum or 3 years of phlebotomy experience in a multi-patient lab.
• Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certificate within 3 months of hire

Aufgaben

• Perform order entry, specimen collection and processing per WI; clarify orders and collect patient samples.
• Prioritize workload and coordinate Phlebotomy and Laboratory teams to meet service needs.
• Provide instructions to clinicians, nursing staff and patients on specimen collection.
• Use laboratory computer system to enter demographics, track specimens, and print reports.
• Assist with bone marrow collection and processing and Code 99 responses as ordered.
• Maintain current procedures; participate in meetings and ensure quality and records.
