Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Colorado seeks a Phlebotomy Technician to support the testing, delivery and distribution of lab results. You will perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, labeling, and prepare specimens for transport, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.

You will work with electronic systems, follow safety policies, greet patients professionally, and contribute to quality care. Eligibility requires completion of accredited phlebotomy program and 6 months of phlebotomy experience, plus BLS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Accredited phlebotomy program with 80-hour externship (within last year) or alternate path.
• Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience within past 3 years.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow Kaiser quality, safety, and emergency policies.
• Greet and communicate with patients professionally.
• Collect specimens using proper identification and labeling procedures.
• Enter lab results into computer systems.
• Assist with specimen transport and lab processing.
• Provide excellent customer service and service recovery.
• Perform waived/moderate complexity lab testing per procedures.
