Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Olympia Medical Center in Washington is seeking a Lab Assistant to perform pre-analytic and potentially analytic/post-analytic steps for waived testing. Duties include specimen collection, data entry, customer service, and maintaining a clean, compliant lab environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant certificate within 6 months, BLS within 3 months, and strong communication with basic computer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certificate (Washington) within 6 months of hire OR Medical Assistant Certificate (Washington) within 6 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills and good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Collects specimens for lab testing and processes them according to procedures.
• Performs data entry and retrieval of results.
• Performs waived testing and EKG testing.
• Teaches phlebotomy students and employees.
