Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification and license if applicable.
• Ability to proficiently perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy professionally and with compassion for the patient.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and proper specimen handling.
• Ensure requisitions and patient data are complete and legible.
• Review Medicare/NCD/LMRP requirements for tests when needed.
• Complete MSP forms when necessary.
• Accurately collect all specimens to fulfill lab orders.
• Provide accurate test-order communication to clients.
• Keep the draw station stocked and organized daily.
• Inform supervisor of performance concerns or schedule issues.
• If located in a physician's office, collect specimens for the lab only.
