UWL implemented its first hospital-based laboratory Program over twenty-six years ago and has successfully operated more hospital-based outpatient lab Programs than any organization in the country.
Job Description:
In addition to regular phlebotomy duties, Lead Lab Assistant/Phlebotomists will be responsible for working with the Phlebotomy Supervisor to ensure that sites are adequately staffed and adjust schedules to ensure coverage on a day-to-day basis. Lead Lab Assistant/Phlebotomists are also responsible for ordering supplies and monitoring Lab Assistants in your assigned locations to ensure compliance, maintaining lab compliance logs, communicating and coaching important policy and procedure changes, ensuring timecards are being completed, and acting as the liaison between Lab Assistants and Phlebotomy Supervisors.
